Latin American and Caribbean Studies at Northwestern University

Latin America and the Caribbean are close neighbors of the United States and the linkages between the three regions run deep. There is a common geography and history; and their economics and culture are inextricably intertwined. This program is designed to allow students the opportunity to learn about Latin America and the Caribbean and the contributions that immigrants from those regions and their descendants have made to U.S society.

After Northwestern

After graduation, students will find their familiarity with the language, cultures, and societies of the Americas to be of great benefit. The region of Latin America and the Caribbean is becoming increasingly crucial for most professions, especially in fields such as business, law, medicine, politics, and education.
